The firm I have been given for this assignment is LVMH. It is based in France and is the worlds largest luxury goods conglomerate owning a portfolio of over 60 prestigious brands and over 3000 stores world wide. The group has 5 different brands including: wines and spirits; fashion and leather goods; perfumes and cosmetics; watches and jewellery and selective retailing. The company began in 1971 when champagne producer "Moet Et Chandon and manufacturer of cognac "Hennessy" merged. In 1987 "Louis Vuitton" joined the company and this is the group we know today. Follow the link for some more information on the background of LVMH:
